Jon started playing guitar and writing music at the age of 11. While being a multi-instrumentalist, guitar and vocals have had his heart from the beginning. He's played and sung in numerous contexts over the years since including original rock bands, worship teams, a wedding band and even touring across the Midwest and Northeast for concerts of his own music as an acoustic singer-songwriter solo act. Through all of these experiences, the guitar has been a faithful companion and stage-worthy friend to lean on. He's excited to help you develop your own musical relationship with this wonderful and classic instrument and find your voice in it. "The guitar has been something that I've been able to be more honest with than even another person at times, in an emotional sense. It's my number one instrument for writing my own songs which is a very personal, emotional experience at times. Once you establish the basics and find your voice and what makes your heart and mind move, it's a powerful platform for emotional expression and can be a real support to you whether you want to take the stage and host a crowd, find a way to release and figure out emotions or thoughts that are deeply internal, or have the pleasure of chipping away at becoming better and better at something, discovering new paths to walk down for your own joy."
