Scholarship Program
The Miller Foundation, which sponsors BCreative, believes an art-enhanced mind creates a more inspired person. You can apply for BCreative for tuition assistance for Community Music School lessons or classes.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?
Area children in grades K-12 who attend a school in the city of Battle Creek or Springfield, or the townships of Pennfield, Emmet, or Bedford are eligible. This is not a need-based program.

DETAILS:
Students apply for tuition assistance for a full year at a time.
Be sure you know what a full year of tuition will cost by contacting The Music Center before you begin filling out your application. Other helpful information will also be provided.
Step 1: Register for class.
Step 2: Apply before 1st class starts.

4:00 pm on the 15th of each month.

THE MUSIC CENTER
FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM
You can apply for The Music Center’s financial aid for Community Music School lessons or classes.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?
You are eligible for financial assistance if your annual household income is $60,000 or less. About 20% of our students receive tuition assistance, including adults, as there is no age restriction for this program.
HOW TO:
To apply, email a copy of your most recent 1040 tax form to The Music Center to CMSBattleCreek@YourMusicCenter.org. This is the standard individual federal tax form you use to file your income tax return. If you don’t have a 1040, bring one month’s worth of current paystubs. You can also bring your tax form to The Music Center.
DETAILS:
After reviewing your income documentation, The Music Center staff will inform you of your eligibility and the amount of financial aid you will receive. This typically happens within just a few days and is applied immediately to your account.
DEADLINE:
There is no deadline to submit your request. Financial aid cannot be applied to past due tuition.
